Microsoft Build 2018: Less Windows, More Cloud

Microsoft Build 2018: Less Windows, More Cloud

Microsoft Build, the annual conference for developers, will begin on May 7, 2018, and will last until May 9 with sessions starting around 4.30pm UK time, which is 4:30pm GMT+1. This is the largest event of the year in the company, which hosts more than 6,000 developers, but this is not necessarily the most interesting for fans and technicians.

Build is a conference for hardcore developers, and single tickets start at $2,500. Devoting time to a device that does not necessarily affect how code developers for Microsoft products can make participants rather overlap.

Take a look at Microsoft’s latest earnings reports, and one thing is clear: its cloud business is booming. So do not be surprised if the company spends a lot of time in Build, talking about how to make Azure better for developers. For the most part, this is not something consumers will notice directly. But for brands and businesses, this is another way to ensure that their applications and online services are stable, safe and able to withstand the potential onslaught of demand.

How can I watch Microsoft Build 2018 online?

As with previous years, you’ll be able to catch the keynotes as they happen.

We’ll embed those videos here if we can, but you’ll also find them on the Channel 9 website, which already has several ‘build-up’ videos you can watch right now.

If you have a Microsoft account, you can ‘RSVP’ on the website to get access to Build Live. This is completely free and, as well as the live keynotes, you’ll also be able to watch on-demand content.
