Activity Dashboard: You Might Not Like Google Docs Latest Feature
Google revealed by means of a blog post that it will likely be introducing a different activity dashboard to Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
This latest dashboard allows users with the ability to revise files check to see who else opened the file and when they opened it.
For Instance, a user can easily check if a colleague has opened the file previously and inform them that it has recently been updated. Therefore your leader or employer is able to see if you undoubtedly read that document which was sent last week or not. This feature will also reveal to you when users who were not meant to see the file, however, received access to see it.
As at March 7th, G Suite administrators have the capacity to switch on the activity dashboard feature, along with the full feature rolling out to all users starting on March 21st. “When Activity dashboard becomes available to your users, they’ll see a notification in Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides that explains the feature and their control options”, Google said on the post.
